Applications for the 2023/24 Program are closed.

 


Applications should include the following documentation:

  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Personal Statement within the application portal addressing your suitability for the DIIP (not a separate document)
  • Letter of Recommendation
  • Academic Transcript
  • Proof of Australian citizenship (Birth Certificate, Passport or Citizenship Certificate)

Process

When the application form is received, academic credentials and performance will be verified with the relevant university.

Applicants will be matched with SMEs based on preferences, geographical location, area of study, technical skills and career aspirations.

QTAC will conduct video interviews with shortlisted candidates and following approval, QTAC will contact all successful applicants.

Employers will then contact interns to discuss the project and interns will be advised by 30 September 2023 of the commencement of their internship.

Interns can commence from beginning of November 2023 until end of January.

The intern will become a casual employee of the host employer and paid as per their internal payroll processes i.e. weekly, fortnightly or monthly.

All internship hours must be completed by May 2024
